Improving the educational standard of our youth.
Who We are
Founded on February 8, 1975, the Mico University College Alumni Association – New York Chapter (MOSA-NY) was launched by eight proud past students of The Mico. Soon after, it became a registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.
Over nearly 50 years of service, MOSA-NY has grown into a strong and respected presence among Jamaican organizations in New York City — committed to education, community, and cultural pride. Read more about our history here.
Our Mission
As outlined in our Constitution and Bylaws, the goals of MOSA-NY are to:
Promote fellowship and closer bonds among Miconians in the U.S.
Support and celebrate the past, present, and future of The Mico.
Create and nurture programs that benefit both our members and the wider community.
Vision:
Our vision is that the Association will maintain its effectiveness in providing enrichment to the intellectual, social, and cultural well-being of teachers and students within the communities. This will be accomplished through organization introspection, remediation, and advancement.
